Il nostro French ha scelto di festeggiare così i quarant’anni del suo migliore amico, il Serone, in compagnia di Caccino, sulle strade della Chase the Sun, quella che anche gli organizzatori italiani di Turbolento definiscono “a ride, not a race”. E, a considerare dai loro volti al rientro, sembra proprio se la siano spassata.

Find a reason to be away from home, if possible something to celebrate. Choose carefully the group of friends with whom you will share the celebrations. Then look for an event where your only thought is cycling. Create a whatsapp group and get going.
This is how our French chose to celebrate the 40th birthday of his best friend, Serone, in the company of Caccino, on the roads of Chase the Sun. The event that the Italian organisers of Turbolento call “a ride, not a race”. And judging by their faces on their return it looks like they had a blast.

Time to reflect. This was easily one of my favourite days ever!!!😁

☀️3,200metres elevation
☀️24km per hour average pace
☀️13hrs of 🚴♀️through BEAUTIFUL scenery
☀️only saw about 3 cars🤪
Nothing better than a beautiful long road ride😍After a crazy few weeks of not knowing if I’d be able to complete this due to injury, I can honestly say that I loved every minute of chasethesuncycle. It was so fun that my little legs went faster than they ever have on a super long ride (also helped by the fact I couldn’t get into my big ring)😂
The scenery on the northern route was INSANE. I didn’t get many photos as I was absorbed by the event. But think lochs, forests, castles, mountains…🤪
As it was non competitive, the atmosphere was amazing and I made some awesome friends on the way. We motivated each other until the end😊
Kudos to ciaranking12 for driving us all the way there and back, making the van super cosy and keeping me alive ❤️
Thanks also to torqfitness for always providing the goods. Nothing like a jel at mile 170😮💨

We are very proud to announce that our feature documentary @chasingthesunfilm will have its World Premiere at the prestigious @kendalmountainfestival on 17th November 2023 in Kendal, Cumbria.
@pippiper64, one of the producers of Chasing The Sun, said, “Kendal Mountain Festival is one of the world's leading adventure film festivals and has a focus around outdoor adventure, nature and climate emergency as well as cycling, so we are delighted that we are able to premiere the film there, as it shares many of the same themes.”
The film will feature inspiring stories from Chase The Sun alongside contributions from broadcaster @ned_boulting, writer/blogger @ladyvelo, World Champ mountain biker @tracy_moseley and legendary Turner Prize-winning artist Richard Long amongst others.

The makers of feature doc @chasingthesunfilm were privileged to be on hand to capture the moment when Olly met Richard for the first time and presented him with a unique Chase The Sun print by @thehandmadecyclist.
Richard Long is an English sculptor and one of the best-known British land artists. Long is the only artist to have been short-listed four times for the Turner Prize. He was nominated in 1984, 1987 and 1988, and then won the award in 1989 for White Water Line.
We are thrilled that Richard is part of our feature documentary. His art is made by walking and cycling in landscapes, “an affirmation of my human scale and senses.” ... See MoreSee Less
