New record as over a thousand cyclists set off at sunrise to Chase The Sun on the South England coast ot coast route 
The collective of riders tackling our UK South route has grown again in numbers in 2025, and our field of Sunchasers is becoming increasingly diverse – many more people taking on the Chase The Sun challenge in Relay Teams – an option where riders take turns to pedal 3 x 35 mile segments of route and contribute over 100 miles each, as the team collectively completes the whole Chase The Sun coast to coast route across the longest day.

The biggest Chase The Sun ride ever! 1095 participants, 942 finishers, and a whopping 776 riders arriving before sunset… AMAZING … Congratulations to everyone, including all the invaluable supporters along the way too. This year it was hot! Respect to all riders who persevered over the vales and lanes of a sizzling sunny afternoon in Wiltshire and Somerset.

Determined Rider(s) of The Day Award
Hulya Bennett – riding as part of relay team ‘Mums in Motion’… Hulya has gone from 1 mile school run cycle to 100miles on her first road bike in just 8 weeks! Determination personified as she turned up the on bike party tunes vibes and the pedalling effort to motivate herself and her teamates across the day to reach sunset – even with her own unfortunate early morning injury to carry throughout! Go go go girls!
