UK North 2024

The Scottish Sun shines to show off the UK’s best cycling scenery for Chase the Sun riders!
2024 was a vintage year of ideal weather for the lucky Chase the Sun riders tackling the fabulous UK North route. Perfect conditions saw sunshine over the Northumberland hills and Scottish lochs as the riders savoured the superb scenery. A afternoon breeze didn’t deter the riders progress and the great majority arrived to a cheer before sunset at Ayr.

The secret’s out! Marvellously quiet and scenic roads welcome the greatest number of riders up North to date… 368 starters, 351 finishers, 304 arriving before sunset… Congratulations to everyone who participated, and many thanks to all the supporters and drivers who cheered everyone along!

  • Emma, Megan, Roanna, Amelia, Nada as the Spoke Sisters / Girls that Ride relay team… Great jerseys, great smiles, great fun to meet on route – these ladies worked brilliantly to ace the Team Relay challenge across the day, with perfect timing to arrive before sunset.
