A smooth ride in the Italian sun! A remarkable number of intrepid cyclists successfully traced the wheeltracks across the Tuscany countryside this year. There were 258 riders departing at the Adriatic coast sunrise, and over 40 of these were existing ‘Sun Chasers’ travelling over from the UK shores to further seek out the Italian sunshine, scenery and famous hospitality! It proved to be a well prepared and dedicated community on two wheels across the longest day – this led to an unprecedentedly successful ride, with almost every rider achieving the challenge of reaching the west coast before the sun set into the Tirrenean sea. Everyone was able to celebrate together with a well earned beer on the beach!
