Chase the Sun Ireland is popular in its second year!

Our longest and most epic challenge to date, mid-summer sunrise saw 122 intrepid and adventurous cyclists departing from the Titanic dockyard in Belfast. Relishing the extraordinary challenge of crossing the emerald isle coast to coast on the longest day, savouring a spectacular route that follows scenic quiet roads to show the best of the Antrim coast, the Sperrin Mountains, the Fermanagh Loughs to reach the ‘Wild Atlantic Way’ for a west coast beach finish at Enniscrone!

122 starters, 114 finishers, of which 89 riders successfully ‘Chased the Sun’ by arriving before sunset… This route is truly one of the most challenging thing you can do on a bicycle. Huge respect and congratulations to every one of the adventurers who took on Chase the Sun Ireland in 2023 ! ​
