It features the same inspirational concept riding coast to coast, sunrise to sunset, with additionally famous Italian hospitality thrown in. Our cycle event partners Turbolento host you with a package including hotels, meals and bag transfer assistance. You just ride your bike!
The Chase The Sun Italia cycling route follows breathtaking roads and scenery as you climb through the Tuscany hills to the sunset, you will create indelible memories of your continental Chase the Sun experience!

The Route
A magnificent coast to coast ride across Italy in a day. Depart from Pantani’s hometown of Cesenatico on the Adriatic sea, to reach the Tirrenia coast, east to west, from sunshine to sunset. The most romantic long-distance cycling challenge, climbing mountains, through vineyards and vistas, 280+ kilometers and 3300m elevation. Bellissimo!

Start your journey at sunrise on the Adriatic coast in a beautiful harbour town, a place of unique Italian cycling heritage as the birthplace of icon Marco Pantani, close to the Apennine foothills.
Route Finish
Tirrenia Beachfront, Tuscany (Tirrenian coast)
21:30 Sunset at Hotel restaurant beach.
Savour a well-earned dip in the Mediterranean waters at sunset on the beach at the ride finish upon the coast near to Pisa. An evening of celebration food, drinks and rider’s stories awaits.

Transport your bike from London UK to/from Italia ride to/from start & finish locations.
We have partnered with European Cycle Events to offer premium overground bike delivery transport service to and from the ITALIA ride start/finish locations. UK drop-off/collection is south London, from where our van and dedicated bike transport trailer will ensure your bike travels safely and securely for you to the event location.
